Nozzle cleaning
When printing with filled/composite filaments it is recommended to clean your nozzle immediately after printing by feeding 15-20cm PLA filament through your nozzle. This will make sure that any potential fillers are flown out of your nozzle. It is even better to use glow in the dark PLA as the extremely hard phosphorous particles are much more likely to scrape out residual waste from your nozzle.

Introducing ReFill filament
In an effort to reduce waste, FormFutura has introduced a new way of supplying filament with our Refill system. This version of our filament does not come on a conventional spool, but instead is securely spooled onto a small cardboard core, which can then be put onto a reusable spool. This spool has been designed by us, specifically for this application, and can be printed by visiting our Printables page.
FormFutura’s ReFill system is designed with the aim of lessening your carbon footprint. It brings an 80% reduction in packaging waste, while potentially decreasing shipping volume by up to 55%.
The user-friendly system is compatible with nearly all FDM printers, including the widely used AMS system.

Abbrassiveness
Matt PLA is modified with fillers that can have an abrasive effect on brass nozzles. We recommend to use hardened steel nozzles when 3D printing with Matt PLA.
More than 50% recycled content
FormFutura Matt PLA filament contains more than 50% recycled post-industrial PLA content sourced from the waste streams that arise during the extrusion or our EasyFil PLA filaments. Because of its high recycled content, Matt PLA filament is not made from a virgin natural PLA compound, but from a homogeneous compound made from a wide variety of colors from collected filament extrusion waste. Homogeneous compound runs can vary in color intensity. This may result in lighter or darker 3D printing filament colors extruded from various homogeneous compound runs. On average two to three homogeneous compound runs are made per year.
Mat PLA Stealth White and Stealth Black will always have the same color as extrusion waste from black and white PLA filament is collected separately.

Abrasiveness
Please be aware that MetalFil filaments contain a very high concentration of metal powders, which have an abrasive nature. In general, these metal powders will accelerate the nozzle-wear of brass nozzles, much faster than unfilled filaments. We recommend using nozzles from stainless steel or other hardened alloys.

High-end, sustainable and affordable
ReForm filament is manufactured in the Netherlands according to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
This 3D printing filament is not only friendly for our ecosystem, but also for your budget. Sustainability does not have to come at a higher retail price. ReForm proofs to be high-end, sustainable and also very affordable. Let’s reform additive manufacturing with ReForm by FormFutura!
Color intensity
FormFutura ReForm rPLA filament is made up entirely from recycled post-industrial PLA content sourced from the waste streams that arise during the extrusion or our EasyFil PLA filaments. Because of its high recycled content, rPLA filament is not made from a virgin natural PLA compound, but from a homogeneous compound made from a wide variety of colors collected from filament extrusion waste. Homogeneous compound runs can vary in color intensity. This may result in lighter or darker 3D printing filament colors extruded from various homogeneous compound runs. On average two to three homogeneous compound runs are made per year.
rPLA White and Black will always have the same color, as extrusion waste from black and white PLA filament is collected separately.

General printing guidelines *
| Nozzle size: ≥ 0.4mm | Layer height: ≥ 0.2mm | Flow rate: ± 110% |
| Print temp: ± 185 – 225° C | Print speed: Slow | Retraction: Yes ± 5mm |
| Heat bed: ± 50 – 60° C | Fan speed: 80-100% | Experience level: Beginner |
*) Above displayed settings are meant as guidance to find your optimal print settings. These ranges in settings should work for most printers, but please do feel free to experiment outside these ranges if you think it is suitable for your printer. There are a lot of different type of printers, hot-ends and printer offsets that it is extremely difficult to give an overall one-size-fits-all setting.
Abrasiveness
StoneFil has a very high filling with stone powders and therefore the filament can have a slightly more abrasive effect on brass nozzles than unfilled filaments.

There are a lot of different type of printers, hot-ends and printer offsets that it is extremely difficult to give an overall one-size-fits-all setting.
*) Flow rate depends on printing speed and type of hotend used. For full metal hotends a lower flow rate is recommended and for high printing speeds a high(er) flow rate is recommended.
Annealing Volcano PLA
Annealing is a secondary process in which a plastic part is heated up to half of the melt temperature for a moderate period of time before letting the plastic part cool back down to room temperature. When the plastic part is reheated (annealed) like this, the material relaxes and internal stresses and/or strains are relieved resulting in improved dimensional stability, reduction/removal of dimensional distortion and defects, and improved physical and thermal properties of the printed (and annealed) plastic object.
*)When using high speed printing, the above displayed settings will likely need to be adjusted accordingly.
Step 1
Preheat a convection oven at 110° C (half the melting temperature of Volcano PLA). It is highly recommended to use a thermometer to calibrate the exact temperature of your convection oven.
Preheating the oven to 110° C is extremely important as your Volcano PLA printed object will then crystalize in such a rapid timeframe that there is almost no time for the material to shrink. This results in a negligible shrinkage percentage of < 0.3% and by that Volcano PLA is unsurpassed when it comes to reduction of shrinkage after annealing.
Step 2
When the oven is preheated to a stable temperature of 110° C then quickly put your Volcano PLA printed object in the oven. Make sure to do this as quick as possible in order to keep the loss of heat reduced to a minimum. Don’t remove any supports (if used) from the printed object when putting it in the oven.
It is recommended to place the Volcano PLA printed object on a flat aluminium sheet/foil or similar flat metal object to obtain a stable/equal heat transmission.
Small objects – 20 minutes timer
For small objects with thin walls and medium infill annealing will take ± 20 minutes
Large objects – 60 minutes timer
For large objects with thick walls and medium/high infill annealing take ± 60 minutes
Step 3
When the object is annealed taking above mentioned duration into account then switch off the oven and let it cool down to room temperature. Do not remove the object before the oven has completely cooled down to room temperature!
Step 4
When the oven is cooled down completely you remove the object from the oven and remove any support material (if used). Your Volcano PLA printed object is now annealed and has all thermal and mechanical properties as displayed in the Technical Data Sheet (TDS).

FormFutura rPET filament is made up entirely from recycled post-industrial PETG content sourced from the waste streams that arise during the extrusion or our HDglass filaments. Because of its high recycled content, rPET filament is not made from a virgin natural PETG compound, but from a homogeneous compound made from a wide variety of colors from collected filament extrusion waste. Homogeneous compound runs can vary in color intensity. This may result in lighter or darker 3D printing filament colors extruded from various homogeneous compound runs. On average two to three homogeneous compound runs are made per year.
rPET White and Black will always have the same color, as extrusion waste from black and white PETG filament is collected separately.

Carbon fiber reinforcement explained
Reinforcing filaments with carbon results in great benefits. It combines the unique properties of both materials.
The properties of the thermoplastic improve with everything carbon fibers offer. Carbon fibers offer lots of
benefits, such as:
- Increasing stiffness
- Reducing weight
- Increasing tensile strength
- Increasing dimensional stability
- Reducing shrinkage / warping
- Increasing heat resistance
- Increasing chemical resistance
- Masking layer lines with a matt surface finish in 3D printed objects
This makes carbon fiber reinforced filaments perfect for 3D printing applications that require stiffness and
lightweight properties.
General printing guidelines*
| Nozzle size: ≥ 0.4mm | Layer height: ≥ 0.15mm | Enclosure: Recommended |
| Print temp: ± 240 – 265° C | Fan speed: 0% – 50% | Heat bed: ± 90 – 110°C |
*) Above displayed settings are meant as guidance to find your optimal print settings. These ranges in settings should work for most printers,
but please do feel free to experiment outside these ranges if you think it is suitable for your printer. There are a lot of different type of printers,
hot-ends and printer offsets that it is extremely difficult to give an overall one-size-fits-all setting.
*)When using high speed printing, the above displayed settings will likely need to be adjusted accordingly.
Abrasiveness
Please be aware that carbon fiber reinforced filaments contain a relatively high concentration of extremely hard
carbon fibers, which have an abrasive nature. In general these carbon fibers will accelerate the nozzle-wear of
brass nozzles, much faster than unfilled filaments. We recommend to use ruby nozzles or hardened steel
nozzles.
Storage and handling
Filament should be stored at room temperature in a dry and dark place with humidity below 15%.
Recommended storage temperature is ca. 18-25°C (64.4 -77.0°F). Keep out of moisture, sunlight and direct
heat. When stored properly, product has a shelf life of 24 months. To obtain the best parameters of the printed
object, it is recommended to dry the material prior to usage and to 3D print it directly from a dry box.

Key features & details
Formfutura ApolloX Foaming is a professional technical filament that combines the excellent UV and weather resistance of ASA with advanced active foaming technology. Thanks to the unique properties of the material, it enables up to 3 times the weight reduction of printed parts while keeping exceptional strength, and surface quality. ApolloX Foaming is exceptionally durable and produces visually appealing prints for outdoor applications where lightweight and efficiency matter. This makes it an ideal solution for users seeking to produce technical and reliable objects.
ApolloX Foaming is based on FormFutura's proven ApolloX formula, enriched with additives that enable controlled expansion during printing. The foaming process activates at around 230°C, with the maximum effect achieved in the range of 270°C–285°C. When printed below 230°C, the material behaves like standard ASA, giving users great flexibility in tuning print settings. When fully foamed, ApolloX Foaming expands up to three times its original volume, reaching an exceptionally low density of around 0.33 g/cm³. It offers precise control over material flow, allowing users to reduce material usage by up to 66%. The degree and speed of foaming can be finely tuned by adjusting the print temperature, enabling customizable part densities. Additionally, the foaming behavior supports faster 3D printing through the use of thicker layer heights or solid single wall structures.
Our ApolloX Foaming filament enables substantial weight reduction of up to 34% compared to standard ASA, and even up to 3x in extreme foaming conditions. The matte, textured surface finish helps conceal layer lines, giving prints a clean, professional appearance. As foaming increases, the filament shade may appear lighter, adding a subtle visual indicator of material expansion. Despite its lightweight properties, the filament retains all the core benefits of ASA, including excellent UV resistance, dimensional stability, and mechanical strength. Ideal for applications where weight matters, such as RC models, drones, or lightweight functional parts. FormFutura ApolloX Foaming filament is also supplied on spools compatible with Bambu Lab 3D printers.

Aramid (Kevlar) fiber reinforcement explained
Reinforcing filaments with aramid fibers – or Kevlar – results in great benefits. It combines the unique properties
of both materials. The properties of the thermoplastic improve with everything Kevlar offers. Kevlar offer lots
of benefits, such as:
- Very high strength-to-weight ratio
- Increasing impact strength
- Reducing weight
- Increasing tensile strength
- Increasing dimensional stability
- Reducing shrinkage / warping
- Increasing chemical resistance
- Increasing heat resistance
- Masking layer lines with a matt surface finish in 3D printed objects
This makes Kevlar reinforced filaments perfect for 3D printing durable parts that will not break easily.
General printing guidelines*
| Nozzle size: ≥ 0.1mm | Layer height: ≥ 0.05mm | Enclosure needed: No |
| Print temp: ± 255 – 265° C | Fan speed: 0% | Heat bed: ± 85 – 95°C |
*) Above displayed settings are meant as guidance to find your optimal print settings. These ranges in settings should work for most printers,
but please do feel free to experiment outside these ranges if you think it is suitable for your printer. There are a lot of different type of printers,
hot-ends and printer offsets that it is extremely difficult to give an overall one-size-fits-all setting.
*)When using high speed printing, the above displayed settings will likely need to be adjusted accordingly.
Abrasiveness
Please be aware that Kevlar reinforced filaments contain a relatively high concentration of extremely hard
carbon fibers, which have an abrasive nature. In general these aramid fibers will accelerate the nozzle-wear of
brass nozzles, much faster than unfilled filaments. We recommend to use ruby nozzles or hardened steel nozzles.

Carbon fiber reinforcement explained
Reinforcing filaments with carbon results in great benefits. It combines the unique properties of both materials. The properties of the thermoplastic improve with everything carbon fibers offer. Carbon fibers offer lots of benefits, such as:
- Increasing stiffness
- Reducing weight
- Increasing tensile strength
- Increasing dimensional stability
- Reducing shrinkage / warping
- Increasing heat resistance
- Increasing chemical resistance
- Masking layer lines with a matt surface finish in 3D printed objects
This makes carbon fiber reinforced filaments perfect for 3D printing applications that require stiffness and lightweight properties.
General printing guidelines*
| Nozzle size: ≥ 0.4mm | Layer height: ≥ 0.1mm | Enclosure needed: No |
| Print temp: ± 255 – 295° C | Fan speed: 0% – 30% | Heat bed: ± 90 – 110°C |
*) Above displayed settings are meant as guidance to find your optimal print settings. These ranges in settings should work for most printers,
but please do feel free to experiment outside these ranges if you think it is suitable for your printer. There are a lot of different type of printers,
hot-ends and printer offsets that it is extremely difficult to give an overall one-size-fits-all setting.
Abrasiveness
Please be aware that carbon fiber reinforced filaments contain a relatively high concentration of extremely hard carbon fibers, which have an abrasive nature. In general these carbon fibers will accelerate the nozzle-wear of brass nozzles, much faster than unfilled filaments. We recommend to use ruby nozzles or hardened steel nozzles.

Hygroscopy
Python Flex is a very hygroscopic material and will attract and hold water molecules from the surrounding environment. When opened and exposed to humidity too long this can have a negative effect on the printing behaviour and quality of the filament. It is therefore strongly recommended to immediately remove the spool from the printer after printing and store it in a vacuum bag or airtight container without silica. When the filament is too wet it is recommended to dry Python Flex in an oven or filament drying machine at 65C for approximately 6 hours. Drying times can depend on how long the filament has been exposed to humidity. Python Flex is packaged in a vacuum bag with a guaranteed moisture content of less than 0,2% to ensure ideal printing behaviour and results directly after opening the spool.

Pre-drying Kratos PC
Kratos PC is a hygroscopic filament and therefore it is necessary to pre-dry the filament at 75°C for
approximately 24 hours before usage. For optimal print results we recommend to print Kratos PC filament from a drying box to avoid that the material can accumulate humidity from the environment.
Buildplate adhesion
For optimal buildplate adhesion we recommend to use a dedicated PC buildplate adhesive and to print a brim around your model. The brim is advised to hold down the edges of your part, which can prevent warping and help improve bed adhesion.
Enclosure recommended for large(r) prints.
Kratos PC can be 3D printed on open printers without a closed chamber for small(er) parts. For large(r) parts we do recommend to use a 3D printer with closed chamber.
