Your data

Privacy policy

How AM Futures collects, uses and protects your personal data when you contact us, browse this website or buy from our online shop. Last updated 26 September 2026.

Who we are

AM Futures (Company Registration No. 15813470; VAT Registration No. 472983841) is the “controller” of your personal data under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). Registered office: 4 Church Close, Kesgrave, Ipswich, IP5 1NN. Email info@am-futures.com · phone 0333 772 3573.

What we collect and why

  • Enquiries (contact form, email, phone): your name, company, email, phone number, the brand or product you ask about and your message. We use it to reply and provide quotes. Legal basis: legitimate interests / steps at your request before a contract.
  • Orders (online shop): your name, email, phone, delivery and billing address, the items ordered and payment status. We use it to take payment, arrange delivery, provide invoices and receipts, handle returns and keep tax records. Legal basis: performance of a contract; legal obligation (accounting and VAT).
  • Payment details: card and payment details are entered on Stripe’s secure page. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Basket: the items in your basket are kept in your browser’s local storage on your own device so the basket works. It is not sent to us until you check out.
  • Technical data: like most websites, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) for security and to keep the site running. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
  • Marketing: we only email you marketing if you have asked us to or are an existing customer with a similar product, and you can opt out at any time.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It uses your browser’s local storage only to remember your basket, which is strictly necessary for the shop to work. If we add analytics or marketing tools in future we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

Who we share your data with

  • Stripe Payments Europe / Stripe, Inc. — to process payments, calculate VAT and issue receipts and invoices. Stripe is an independent controller for some of this processing; see stripe.com/gb/privacy.
  • FormFutura B.V. and delivery carriers — the name, delivery address and contact details needed to supply and deliver your order.
  • Our website hosting and email providers — who store and deliver our website, forms and email on our behalf.
  • Google Fonts — this site loads fonts from Google, so your IP address is sent to Google when a page loads. See policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Professional advisers and authorities — accountants, legal advisers, HMRC and others where the law requires or to protect our rights.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some of these providers (for example Stripe and Google) may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the UK adequacy regulations or appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum / standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to an order: up to 2 years.
  • Orders, invoices and payment records: 6 years after the end of the tax year, as required for accounting and VAT.
  • Server logs: normally up to 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, restrict or object to our use of it, or send you a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. To use these rights, email info@am-futures.com. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113). We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Security

Payments are handled by Stripe over encrypted connections, and this website is served over HTTPS. We keep access to personal data limited to people who need it to serve you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date shown at the top.
